September 27 - September 29
Location: Highland Lakes Baptist Camp
The weekend retreat you have waited all summer for! Let’s hope the weather is crisp enough for flannels and autumn activities, but warm enough for hammock camping overnight! – don’t worry if you don’t have a hammock or don’t want to sleep outside, there will be cabins!
Fall Retreat is a tradition in Cru, to take time away from campus – retreat – and take time to focus and learn about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through the bible. We invite a speaker to come, there is worship, food, and lots of activities! Its always a highlight of the fall, so come and try it out!
This year we will be at Highland Lakes, the cost & timeline will be updated once we get more details.
Our Speakers :
Andy McNeely is a 2014 graduate from IU and a IU Cru Alumni. He was blessed to participate in summer mission trips with Cru to Ghana in 2013 and Ocean City, NJ in 2015. Upon graduating, he interned with Cru at IU for the 2014-2015 academic year before transitioning into the business world. Currently he lives and works in Indianapolis as a certified public accountant specializing in audit and assurance services for a regional accounting firm. He is a member of Soma Church and serves on the board of directors for Like a Lion, a ministry committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to disadvantaged youths in Indianapolis by giving them academic, emotional, and spiritual support. Finally, he has started pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree through Indianapolis Theological Seminary.
Andy aims to bring Gospel-loving passions into business, and business-sharpened skill sets into ministry. He is humbled and grateful and excited to teach at this year’s fall retreat from 1 Corinthians 15 on Vanity Versus Victory: The Importance of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ to Your Life.
